About Me

My name is Louise & I am the face behind Pawsitive Fitness. I have been working with dogs for almost 20 years. I qualified as a Canine Behaviour and Training Specialist in 2009 and worked as a professional dog training and behaviourist for a number of years before realising that canine health and fitness was where my heart lay.

I have been competing in cani-sports since 2012 and hold a number of national Championship titles in the disciplines of Bikejoring, Scootering and Canicross.

I have proudly represented Ireland many times at the European and World Canicross Championships with my dogs. Our best achievement was 5th place in scooter at the ICF World Championships in Bardonecchia, Italy in October 2024. I have also raced abroad in France, Belgium, Italy, Czech Republic and the UK.

I have trained alongside International champions in bikejoring and scooter and have completed Leaders Courses in Canicross and bike/scooter. I was the first qualified canicross instructor in Ireland and am the only certified bike/scooter instructor here at present.

I am currently President of Canicross Ireland and I am also on the committee of Sporting Dogs Ireland.

With almost 15 years of experience under my (canicross) belts, along with numerous dog training and behaviour qualifications, I am more than qualified to offer you and your dog an enjoyable experience, getting you out and about, hitting the trails , keeping fit and having fun.

In 2023, I qualified as a Galen Myotherapist and now offer canine massage/myotherapy services, along with many other services to ensure the health and wellness of your dog.

I have 4 dogs who rule my life!!!

  • Lady, a 9 year old pointer who is still racing and loving it!

  • Mazikeen (Maze), a 5 year old Scandinavian Hound

  • Raven and Hawk, our newest members of the team. Born in June 2025, they still have a lot of growing to do before they start working, but I’m sure they’ll have fun watching mum Maze and big sister Lady doing all of the hard work for now!
