Dublin Canicross Workshop

€25.00

We will be holding a canicross workshop in Dublin on Saturday 26th September 2026

WHAT WE WILL BE COVERING:

  • What is canicross. We will talk about the basics of canicross and why it is so much more fun than regular “running with your dog”.

  • Equipment. The right equipment needed for canicross and why we use it. We will also get you and your dog kitted out in all the right gear for class.

  • Technique. We will discuss running technique with your dog, how to teach commands and how to get your dog running out in front of you.

  • Practical work. Here we will hit the trails and work on our technique with the dogs, working on all of the basics, including directions and passing.

  • We will also talk a little about hydration and exercises that will keep your dog strong for the trails as well as doing a few human exercises too.

NOTE: Proper equipment will be required for the workshop. This includes:

  • A canicross belt for the human

  • A bungee/shock absorber lead

  • Suitable Y-shaped harness for the dog

Equipment will be available to borrow or buy at class. Anyone buying equipment on the day will get a 10% discount.

  • IMPORTANT: Dogs must be a minimum of 12 months of age to attend, although it is recommended that larger breeds are 18 months.
